The Defamer site has posted the salaries of the "stars" of The Hills.  I'm not trying to be cooler than thou by saying this, but I have never seen episode. I don't understand it. Why wasn't there a tv show about my friends and I in high school?  Because no one cared.  I don't understand the obsession with these kids. I also don't understand how I have been working since I was 15 and I will never see what one of these people makes in a year in my entire life.

I do like scrapbooking, but I'm not a traditionalist. I do wall scraps and other creative projects. Oh, and  I love to paint!

 Ya no quiero tomar pastillas, quiero dormir como todo el mundo por lo menos una vez más, sin que los muertos me visiten, sin que se acuesten conmigo, a mi lado... sobre mi. Estoy harto de sentir cómo poco a poco pierdo el control de mi cuerpo cuando ellos me visitan de noche.

Antes yo no era así y maldigo aquella noche en que me senté junto a la fogata con mis vecinos a contar historias de ultratumba. Éramos niños jugando con fuego y yo terminé por quemarme, por consumirme cada noche en el mundo de los que ya se fueron, pero que duermen conmigo.

Comíamos salchichas ensartadas en ramas de árbol, cuando uno de ellos comenzó a narrar que su abuelo, recién fallecido, lo visitaba de noche. Pensé que usaría la trillada historia de que le jalaban los pies o que se le aparecía por el pasillo cuando se levantaba al baño. Si embargo me sorprendió cuando dijo "se acuesta sobre mi".

Es una sensación, según describió, que te paraliza el cuerpo por completo. Estás dormido y de pronto es como si te llenaran el cuerpo de anestesia, te quieres mover pero no puedes, quieres correr, pero las piernas no te responden; intentas gritar, pero tu boca no se mueve... quieres cerrar los ojos, pero éstos solo se quedan abiertos y ven cómo el muerto entra en tu cuarto, camina hacia ti y se mete en tu cuerpo.

Todos quedamos en silencio por unos minutos, hacía mucho frío y de pronto, de la nada, alguien dijo "a eso se le llama que se te sube el muerto". Hasta entonces a mi jamás me había pasado, pero luego de esa noche, comenzaron a suceder cosas extrañas.

Primero comencé a sentirme acompañado en casa cuando realmente no había nadie, ni mis padres ni mis hermanos. Bastaba con que estuviera en mi recámara, para que de pronto viera pasar a alguien por el pasillo y aunque corriera para ver de quién se trababa, nunca encontré a nadie.

Poco a poco mis noches se volvieron intranquilas, la sombra de los árboles que se filtraba por la ventana, tomaba formas, siempre de rostros, era como si alguien me espiara permanentemente desde afuera, esperando que me venciera el sueño para poder entrar.

Un día en la cena se habló de la anciana que vendía fruta todas las mañanas. La habían encontrado muerta una mañana, muchos dicen que se quedó dormida en la calle y se congeló. Mi hermano relató todo lo que se decía en el barrio sobre ella y cuando me fui a mi recámara no pude dejar de pensar en ella.

Cerraba los ojos y se me aparecía por todas partes, miraba a la puerta y su sonrisa estaba sobre la pintura. De pronto miré a la ventana y ahí estaba su figura plasmada sobre la cortina.

Quise levantarme y salir corriendo, pero mi cuerpo no respondió. Cerré los ojos una vez más implorando que fuera un sueño, pero de pronto todos mis músculos se contrajeron, intenté gritar pero solo pude soltar un murmullo... ya era tarde, la anciana estaba recostada junto a mi... sobre mi... dentro de mi.

Es entonces cuando comienza la verdadera batalla, el muerto intenta volver a la vida tomando tu cuerpo y tú luchas para no dejarlo entrar. El enfrentamiento dura apenas unos minutos, aunque el esfuerzo te agota como si fueran horas.

Dentro de tu desesperación quieres saltar, quieres lanzar aunque sea un aullido para que alguien venga y te mueva, te haga reaccionar y expulsar a ese ser que se niega a salir. Pero ellos son hábiles y lo primero que toman es tu lengua, la enfrían con sus dedos sin vida y la anudan en tu garganta; succionan la fuerza de tus músculos y poco a poco te paralizan.

Sin embargo les cuesta trabajo dominar tus extremidades, pies y manos quedan fuera de su control, así que cuando logras mover por lo menos un dedo, les rompes la puerta de acceso y deben marcharse para no quedar atrapados en el limbo, para no quedarse en el puente entre la vida y la muerte.

Ya no quiero tomar pastillas para dormir, porque éstas lo único que hacen es sacarme de mi, pero no sé si es peor, porque puedo ver a todos los que intentan quedarse con mi cuerpo cada noche. Soy un espectador de las luchas que libra mi organismo en la oscuridad.

Hasta ahora siempre he logrado tumbar a los que se me suben, pero cada vez me cuesta más trabajo. Esta noche, cuando duermas, ¿podrías pensar en algunos muertos para que te visiten, se te suban y me quites este peso de encima?

How pitiful is it that the Broon was begging for anything? It wasn't Britain's battle to begin with, why should he grovel to get in? As this crisis has shown it was each country fending for itself. Ireland was the first to make the decision to take care of its own interests followed by Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, usw. Britain, having its own currency, did not have to deal with that. This just highlights a problelm that is often overlooked. Britain is not a European country. It has its own world, its own group which it has been neglecting in favour of its neighbours with which it has had a greater history or heart-ache than benefit.  How many people in Britain have family and friends in the Antipodes, in Canada, the USA? Britain has the commonwealth, a group based on shared history which doesn't try to force or dictate its member states to do anything except hold up basic  decencies.  The EU  will do itself in, the sooner the better. Once again it is proven that the only thing that Europe has to offer Britain is domination -- the same thing it has since the Battle of Hastings. It is time for Britain to take a lead and show its neighbours what can be done and achieved without the chains of the EU as each country in Europe has its own place in the world without the need to tie itself down. Germany has a long history of exporting its own people who have settled everywhere in the world and have always contributed to other societies, France has its Francophonie, Spain and Portugal have the Iberianic world -- virtually all of Latin America, parts of Africa, and parts of Asia. Italy, like Germany, has seen its sons and daughters settle in every corner of the world and its diaspora is loyal. That is just the beginning.

On Tuesday night's live season-three finale of "Making the Band 4," Diddy confirmed the rumors that Aubrey O'Day is no longer in Danity Kane. He also kicked out D. Woods, leaving only Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex in the group he so carefully put together before our eyes four years ago. "I would rather be hated every damn day of my life for being real than loved for being something I'm not," O'Day defiantly told Sway on the special that aired Tuesday night. Diddy, who spoke to the girls and the audience via satellite, had some advice for tabloid target Aubrey. "Check this out, baby girl," Diddy said. "See, your attitude is gonna have you in a dark and lonely place. ... What you need to do, at the end of the day, is humble yourself. I got love for Aubrey. I don't have any beef with her," he added. "I just want to work with the young lady that I signed, not the person that fame has made her." "I don't think any of us has been happy for a long time," admitted D.Woods, who Diddy said had gotten "caught up in the wrath" of Aubrey. MTV News reached out to a rep for Danity Kane to see where the future of the band stands now that Aubrey and D. Woods are no longer in the group. I was due a review with my Bank Manager today just servicing the overdraft and setting some rules. You know the kind of thing I mean. Anyway the normally nice Mr. Norman Green was apparently off and I had to see a Mr.G.Brown.

We shook hands, exchanged pleasanteries  and I explained that I would be needing an increase in my overdraft to service my higher borrowings. I also explained that higher inflation was not helping. He listened very intently but then asked If perhaps I had been reading the papers or listening to the financial news recently stating that there was some kind of crisis on. Apparently the balloon had gone up and we were billions if not trillions of pounds in debt all due to a fall in house prices and the disgraceful activities of a few greedy bankers.

I told him this was all news to me and that I still needed a higher overdraft. He very kindly asked me to leave and said that as a taxpayer I had a duty to support the banks at this time and would I stop pestering him for more money as the situation was very serious.

I am now thinking of changing my bank.
